It’s been a while since we last shared an update here.
Not because Ivy Heart stopped mattering — but because life, healing, reflection, and purpose don’t always move on a content calendar.
When Ivy Heart was created, it came from a deeply personal place. A place shaped by Congenital Heart Defects (CHD), by hospital rooms and long conversations, by moments of fear paired with moments of overwhelming gratitude. Anyone who has walked a CHD journey knows that it changes you. It slows you down. It reshapes how you see time, priorities, and purpose.
Sometimes, it even quiets you for a while.
Why We’re Still Here
Congenital Heart Defects are the most common birth defect, yet they are often misunderstood or unseen. Behind the statistics are real children, real families, and real journeys that don’t end after surgery or discharge.
Ivy Heart exists to bring awareness to those journeys — to honor them, talk about them, and give back to the community that supports families through them.
Giving Back With Purpose
One of the core commitments of Ivy Heart is giving back to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA) — a place that represents care, expertise, and compassion for so many families navigating CHD.
Through purpose-driven projects, including our not yet released book, Ivy Heart directs a large portion of proceeds toward supporting CHOA and other families. This isn’t about charity for show. It’s about gratitude, responsibility, and turning lived experience into meaningful action.
Moving Forward, Intentionally
As Ivy Heart continues to grow, the focus remains the same:
- Raising awareness for Congenital Heart Defects
- Honoring the resilience of children and families
- Giving back in ways that are thoughtful and transparent
There will be more stories to share. More moments to reflect on. More ways to support awareness and care.
Thank You
If you’ve supported Ivy Heart by reading, sharing, or would consider to purchase the book — thank you. If you’re new here, welcome. And if CHD is part of your story too, know that Ivy Heart was created with you in mind.
